A unique historical object in Zieleniec, whose history dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Although the first (wooden) temple stood in this place in the middle of the 18th century — it was most likely 1762.
The construction of the church in its present form was initiated by Augustyn Grund, notary of the archbishopric, later parish priest of Zieleniec. The temple itself was erected in the years 1901-1902, and its consecration took place in 1904 (October 4, to be exact).
An interesting fact about the church is the fact that at one time it was the highest located temple in all of Prussia, today this distinction applies only to the Sudeten area. The church's equipment — altars, paintings, pulpit, baroque figurines, baptismal font and, above all, its lid, which dates back to 1790 — has an extraordinary historical and sacred value.
The order of the masses in this unique temple is as follows: Sunday Mass at 12:00.
More information about the church itself, as well as about accommodation options, is available on the church's website.
